The Town of Oakville is offering residents the chance to voice their opinion on the future of Oakville’s parks, recreation facilities, and libraries. As part of Vision 2057, the Town is preparing an update to it’s Master Plan, which will play a vital role in advancing the overall quality of life residents enjoy now and in the future.
There are two open houses scheduled for today, May 30th from 2-4pm and then from 7-9pm at Town Hall. There will be another meeting on June 5 from 7-9pm at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre. Each open house will include a staff presentation followed by an open discussion.
The director of Recreation and Culture said, “The master plan does a fantastic job in helping us identify facility and amenity needs as the town grows. Ultimately though, the final decision will depend on town-wide factors such as available funding, development opportunities and the locations of facilities. Further consultation with residents and key stakeholders will also play a vital role”.
Residents can also voice their opinions through this online feedback form, or by email to email@example.com.
